Our Family and legacy
Jonathan and Paula are blessed with 5 wonderful children living in Jamaica, Canada, England and Germany. As parents they decided to create a legacy in Jamaica in the form of Island Coffees Cafes. All the children are equal Directors of the Company and have their own input.
They are lucky to have Mitoya and Anastasia in operations in Jamaica, while Atavia in Canada, Mathew in England and Rebecca in Germany, representing overseas expansions, franchise opportunities and distribution.
Mitoya is Marketing Manager.
Anastasia is Operations Manager.
Island Coffees has had a challenging time during this Covid19 outbreak as Jamaica is almost solely reliant on tourism, therefore the company has had to try and keep the Cafes open in some form to try and take care of our staff and re-create the Cafes for a post Covid19 lifestyle.
The family has roots in both Jamaica, Canada and England and have found out some fascinating facts about divergent lifestyles from the old days which neither parent was aware of, for example Victoria Pier Cafes was a restaurant called Bird in the Hand was owned by the families Grandparents.
